Livable Community Grant

Buffalo Promise Neighborhood (BPN) is piloting a Livable Community Grant program to partner with block clubs to increase quality of life within the neighborhood. BPN will provide ten grants up to $500.00 each with matching funds from block clubs. The grant is intended to support projects within the block club. Examples of appropriate utilization of grant funds are: tree planting and garden projects, lighting, signage and crime reduction activities.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Application must be submitted by a registered block club.
  2. Block club must have financial accountability and system to track funds.
  3. Block club must exist within the Buffalo Promise Neighborhood footprint.
  4. Project(s) need to be completed by December 31, 2016.

Timeline:

  • Application deadline date: April 30th*
  • Committee Review: May 1st – May 15th
  • Notification of Award: May 16th – May 30th
