Greetings from WNY Trash Mob!
We are a local organization dedicated to beautifying our community though cleanups, the arts, and raised awareness. This Earth Day we warmly welcome you to participate in (or support) Buffalo’s biggest Earth Day competition: The Trash Mob Community Cleanup Contest!
When is it? Thursday April 22nd, 2021 (anytime, all day)
What is it? A WNY cleanup that promotes community and awareness!
How does it work? Volunteers may take bags from their homes or one of our partnering hubs, and cleanup an area of their choice. Take photos and tag @wnytrashmob on FB or Instagram to enter a juried competition for prizes
Why? This is more than a trash clean up, it’s a way to send a strong message: we care about our community. Trash Mob fully encourages participants to take creative control over their involvement, so it can be as big (or simple) as you’d like it to be. Trash Mob will promote all supporting hub locations throughout the year with posts of interviews, videos, photos, ect.

Join the Cleanup- grab a bag, clean, and tag! Jurors will select the photos that best match their categories (for example, “Strangest Find”)

Host a Hub- A hub is a place where volunteers can pick up trash bags and any other promotional items you would like to offer (for example, one South Buffalo Charter School is offering buttons and the Maritime Center is giving prizes). Hubs may organize their own additional competitions or sign in logs. Need bags? We can help! Need guidance or additional support? We will help with that, too!

What will I get back? Aside from the fulfillment we hope you get from joining one of Buffalo’s biggest cleanup and community efforts, we will proudly support and promote you through posts, on flyers, in optional interviews, and whatever other creative ways you can think of!
