Plants for University Height’s Block Clubs

Attention!
Calling all gardeners

The University Heights Collaborative (UHC) is putting together a wholesale order of perennials that will be available FOR FREE to individuals and block clubs.

To qualify, you or your block club must:
  • Be located in University Heights
  • Help maintain a public garden or greenspace (e.g. community garden, medians, corner plantings, block clubs signs, or planters)
Thanks to a very generous donation from the Ronald Young Family Foundation, the UHC wants to help those who have helped make our community home to some of the most beautiful and well cared for public spaces in Buffalo. You will be able to choose from 3 “sun” perennials and/or 3 “shade” perennials depending on your needs.
Sun Plants:
-Echinacea -magnus
-Calamintha- lesser calamint
-Rozanne geranium
Shade:
-Anemone-Robutissima
-Polyigonatum odoratum “Variegatum”- variegated Solomons Seal
-Dryopeteris-Autumn “Brillance” Fern
Please share with neighbors who might benefit!  Note that these plants are public spaces ONLY and are not intended to be planted in private gardens.
