Envision Neighborhoods – University Heights and Ken-Bailey March 31 2022

There will be a Town Hall meeting with a City of Buffalo community planner where community input on the concerns and needs for the University Heights will be discussed. The meeting will occur on Thursday March 31, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the Gloria J Parks Community Center at 3242 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14214.
As a brief overview of the Envision Neighborhoods initiative, currently the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning is visiting many of our neighborhoods in the City to get community input on the concerns and needs, so that we can help to guide funding from federal resources like the American Rescue Plan and anticipated funds from the Infrastructure bill. This is the first round of meetings and planned engagements that will be a part of an ongoing conversation with the community through the Envision Neighborhoods initiative. These events will take place in the form of an open house, with no formal presentations or agenda. Instead, we are hoping to have intimate conversations with residents about the needs and opportunities for improvements in their neighborhoods. We will have interactive engagement activities, tablets to take our online survey, and resources provided by City of Buffalo departments and the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency. We are encouraging folks to stop by for any amount of time to speak with us. I have attached the flyers for our next two meetings in the area, please feel free to share these out with your networks and post on social media pages. You can find more information on the initiative and take our survey by visiting our webpage: https://www.buffalony.gov/1464/Envision-Neighborhoods

The meeting will be hosted by Hailey Whitney, a General Planner with the City of Buffalo, Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning. In her role, she is the neighborhood planner for the Kenfield, Ken-Bailey, and University Heights neighborhoods.
