DIY Little Libraries Workshop

LittleLibrarySliderLearn by doing at this FREE DIY Workshop!

Help us construct 20 little libraries that will be auctioned off to support the work and the missions of the Tool Library and the Foundry

Join us for a DIY Little Libraries workshop series free and open to the public for teaching the ins and outs of how to design, build, and install a little library. No prior power tool or woodworking abilities are required as we’ll provide all the knowledge you’ll need.

While we wish you could take these little guys home, they will be auctioned off to help raise funds to support the missions of the Tool Library and Foundry.

Saturday, April 30th @ 9AM – 2PM

The Foundry – 298 Northampton Street
Prep & Build Day: Learn how to design and build the framework of a little library from the experts. No prior building experience is required but it is helpful.

Saturday, May 14th @ 10AM – 2PM

The Foundry – 298 Northampton Street
Decorate Day: We’ll be wrapping up the final touches to making each little library one of a kind. Come participate or watch as skilled artists and residents use reclaimed metal and wood materials to add a unique, personal flare to each library.

Thursday, June 23rd @ 6PM – 9PM

The Varsity Theatre – 3165 Bailey Avenue
Silent Auction: Join us for a night of music, drinks, munch, and most importantly, a silent auction for all the little libraries constructed during our workshops. The funds raised from the sale of the libraries will be used to further the work and the mission of The Tool Library and The Foundry.
